The Grand Ole Opry, arguably the most iconic venue in country music history, is gearing up for a major milestone: its 100th anniversary in 2025.
Over the past century, the Opry has welcomed countless country music legends to its stage, helping to shape the genre into the global phenomenon it is today.
In honor of this remarkable achievement, the Grand Ole Opry is planning a worldwide celebration. Among the highlights is a special concert at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall, reflecting country music's renewed global appeal.
While details about the event, including the date and lineup, are still under wraps, excitement is already building around this international celebration.
Throughout 2025, every show at the Opry's Nashville venue will incorporate the "Opry 100" theme, starting with performances by Bill Anderson, the longest-serving Opry member.
Additionally, 100 rising stars will make their Opry debut, kicking off with Shaboozey, known for his hit song "A Bar Song (Tipsy)."
The centennial festivities will also pay tribute to the legends who have graced the Opry stage over the years. A series titled "Opry 100 Honors" will celebrate the lives and legacies of country music icons like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams, and many more.
As part of the celebrations, fans will have the opportunity to vote for the 100 greatest country songs of all time. Additionally, a portion of ticket sales will benefit the Opry Trust Fund, which supports members of the country music community in need.
The Grand Ole Opry's official centennial date falls on November 28, 2025, marking 100 years since the venue first hosted a concert.
Reflecting on the upcoming anniversary, Dan Rogers, SVP and Executive Producer of the Grand Ole Opry, shared, "This centennial is not just a look back—it’s a celebration of the future of country music and the artists who continue to shape its story. We can't wait for everyone to join us for what will be an unforgettable year."
Stay tuned for more details about the Royal Albert Hall concert and other events planned for this historic celebration.
