Lainey Wilson is set to headline the halftime show during the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day game against the New York Giants on November 28 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The performance, airing live on Fox, will also mark the official kickoff of the Salvation Army’s 134th Red Kettle Campaign.

The Cowboys' Thanksgiving halftime show has been a long-standing tradition for 28 years, helping to launch the Red Kettle holiday season. Since its inception, the Red Kettle Kickoff has helped raise more than $3 billion to support those in need.

Wilson, who will be accompanied by a special guest yet to be announced, is expected to perform tracks from her latest album Whirlwind, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 in August, as well as a few holiday classics.

In a statement, Wilson expressed her excitement, saying, "It’s an honor to follow in the footsteps of legendary performers like Dolly Parton, The Jonas Brothers, and Reba, to kick off The Salvation Army’s iconic Red Kettle Campaign.

"Join me this Christmas season because together we can do more good for those in need.”

Wilson playfully teased her upcoming performance in a video shared on her and the Cowboys' social media channels. Dressed in Dallas Cowboys blue bell bottoms, she joined the cheerleaders for a routine, jokingly asking if she was the first to attempt it in bell bottoms.

Last year, Dolly Parton headlined the Thanksgiving halftime show, drawing 42 million viewers as the Cowboys faced off against the Washington Commanders.

Charlotte Jones, chief brand officer and co-owner of the Dallas Cowboys, praised Wilson’s involvement: “Performers like Lainey Wilson represent the next generation of role models. We’re excited to have her energy and enthusiasm on our national stage to highlight the Red Kettle Kickoff and the importance of giving back to those in need.”
