Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings, and James Taylor will headline the Concert for Carolina, a benefit event presented by Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority.
The concert is set for Oct. 26 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will be hosted by ESPN's Marty Smith and Barstool Sports' Caleb Pressley. Additional performers will be announced soon.
The idea for the benefit concert came together quickly after Hurricane Helene caused widespread devastation.
The artists, led by Combs, reached out to raise funds for relief efforts. David and Nicole Tepper, owners of the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC, and Bank of America Stadium, immediately offered the stadium as a venue to support the cause.
“When Luke approached us with the idea of a concert to benefit regional relief efforts, we felt it was our duty to open Bank of America Stadium for this special moment,” shared David and Nicole Tepper.
“We’re inspired daily by the strength of our Carolina community, and we are honored to stand with Luke, Eric, and our fellow Carolinians on this road to recovery.”
Tickets for the Concert for Carolina go on sale Thursday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m. ET. All proceeds from the concert, including sponsorships, will be split between Combs’ and Church’s foundations to support relief organizations across the Carolinas and the Southeast.
Combs’ portion will go to Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, and one more organization to be announced.
Church's Chief Cares Foundation will direct funds to well-managed charities providing direct assistance to families affected by Hurricane Helene.
Announcing the event on Instagram, Combs said, “I told y’all I had something big planned for Carolina! This benefit concert took a lot of planning and coordination, and I’m so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen so quickly.”
