Brooks & Dunn are set to break new ground with their upcoming album, Reboot 2, featuring a star-studded lineup including Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, The Marcus King Band, and more.
The highly anticipated project, dropping on Nov. 15 via Sony Music Nashville, brings a fresh twist to the duo’s iconic hits.
Reboot 2 follows the format of 2019’s successful Reboot but with a major difference—artists were given complete creative freedom.
The 18-track collection allows each collaborator to choose a Brooks & Dunn song and reimagine it in their own style.
Standout reworkings include Lainey Wilson’s version of “Play Something Country,” Morgan Wallen’s take on “Neon Moon,” Megan Moroney’s spin on “Ain’t Nothin' 'Bout You,” Jelly Roll’s soulful rendition of “Believe,” and The Marcus King Band’s electrifying cover of “Rock My World (Little Country Girl).”
"The premise for this project was ‘No rules,’” said Ronnie Dunn.
“We loosened the screws and let them do whatever they wanted.” Kix Brooks added, "This project is all over the place, blending genres from rock to blues. Artists kept asking, ‘Is it okay if we try this?’ and our answer was always ‘Yes, let’s go for it.’”
In addition to Wilson, Wallen, Moroney, and Jelly Roll, Reboot 2 also features contributions from Riley Green, Warren Zeiders, Megan Moroney, The Cadillac Three, Halestorm, Mitchell Tenpenny, The Earls of Leicester, Hailey Whitters, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Hardy, Ernest, A Thousand Horses, Jake Worthington, and Corey Kent.
Fans can look forward to hearing these reimagined classics live, as Brooks & Dunn have announced the first leg of their Neon Moon Tour, kicking off in March 2025.
