Amazon Music to celebrate Country Music Month

Amazon Music is celebrating Country Music Month with a special lineup of content centered around its flagship playlist, "bonfire."

Throughout October, fans can enjoy new livestreams, Amazon Music Originals, and exclusive videos featuring artists from the playlist, including Dylan Gossett, Jelly Roll, Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson, Leon Bridges, Nate Smith, and more.

This Thursday (Oct. 3) at 6 p.m. PT, Amazon Music will stream Breakthrough Artist Nate Smith's City Sessions performance in Los Angeles, part of its exclusive live series showcasing intimate performances worldwide.

Smith will perform songs from his latest album, California Gold, alongside deep cuts and fan favourites.

On Oct. 11, Amazon Music will release video-on-demand footage of Kacey Musgraves' recent Climate Pledge Arena concert in Seattle, originally broadcast live.

Fans can catch performances of "Cardinal," "Jade Green," "Rainbow," and more, with additional sets by Father John Misty and GRAMMY-winning trio Nickel Creek. The full concert will stream exclusively on Prime Video.

Jelly Roll will open the third season of Amazon Music Live on Oct. 17 in support of his upcoming album, Beautifully Broken. Both Jelly Roll's and Smith's performances will stream on Prime Video and the Amazon Music Twitch channel.

Amazon Music will also debut new Amazon Music Originals, including Gossett’s cover of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” on Oct. 4, and Lainey Wilson’s new track “Love & Learn,” co-written with Caitlyn Smith and Lee Thomas Miller, set to release on Oct. 25.

Both tracks will be featured on the "bonfire" playlist.

To wrap up the month, Amazon Music will release a new episode of Songline on Oct. 25, featuring Leon Bridges.

The docu-performance series offers a behind-the-scenes look into an artist’s songwriting process, and this episode will showcase songs from Bridges' introspective new album, Leon.

"'Bonfire' is our way of connecting country, indie, and alternative music fans," says Emily Cohen Belote, Lead Music Curator at Amazon Music.

"These genres share a lot of common ground, and 'bonfire' brings them together in one playlist."
