Lainey Wilson has had a whirlwind of a week. Her latest album, Whirlwind, made an impressive debut at #8 on the Billboard 200, and she has received multiple new CMA Award nominations, including a nod for Entertainer of the Year.

Continuing her streak of big moments, Wilson will appear on Tuesday's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she’ll join for an interview and perform a song live on stage.
Tuesday’s Fallon episode, airing after the debate and local news, will also feature guests from Only Murders in the Building: Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and DJ Khaled.
The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, Wilson has four nominations for this year’s 58th CMA Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year for “Watermelon Moonshine,” and Music Video of the Year for “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”

“Whirlwind is kind of the Western sister to Bell Bottom Country,” says Wilson.
“Since that album, I’ve experienced so many new things and met folks from all walks of life. It’s made me a better songwriter and given me more understanding.
"I feel like I’ve truly stepped into what I’m meant to do. Ironically, I found my direction in the midst of all the chaos—that’s the whirlwind.”
Wilson’s career has been nothing short of triumphant. In the past year alone, she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, won Best Country Album at the 2024 Grammys, took home three awards at the 59th ACM Awards, and swept the 57th CMA Awards with five wins, including Entertainer of the Year.
She also earned two ACM Honors awards: the Triple Crown Award, recognizing her wins in Entertainer, Female Vocalist, and New Female Vocalist categories, and the Milestone Award for her exceptional year in country music.
