During her headline set at Outside Lands in San Francisco on Saturday night, Sabrina Carpenter surprised the crowd by bringing out special guest Kacey Musgraves.
The two artists teamed up for a rendition of Nancy Sinatra’s iconic "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'," delighting festival-goers.
Carpenter stepped in as the headliner after Tyler, the Creator, who was originally scheduled to perform, had to cancel.
Throughout her set, Carpenter performed tracks like "Please Please Please" and "Espresso," and she also teased her upcoming debut album, Short n’ Sweet, during the outro of her song "Nonsense."
She playfully hinted at the album’s release with lines like, "Soon cometh my album, so exciting / My heart doth pound beneath my breasts, so mighty / Outside Lands, it’s like thou art inside me." Fan-shot videos captured these moments, adding to the excitement.
Earlier this year, Tyler, the Creator announced his withdrawal from both Lollapalooza and Outside Lands festivals. He shared his disappointment on X (formerly Twitter), writing, "I hate saying this but I have to cancel Lollapalooza and Outside Lands.
I made a commitment that I can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were.
That is not sexy at all. Please, please forgive me or call me names when you see me in person. Love."
