Kelsea Ballerini has announced an exciting new collaboration with country-folk chart-topper Noah Kahan. Their duet, "Cowboys Cry Too," is set to be released this Friday (June 28th).
This announcement follows a series of teasers on Instagram, where Ballerini hinted at the collaboration by posting photos, including an image of a pair of boots she sent to Kahan along with a note that read, "Hey...you a cowboy yet?" To which Kahan humorously replied, "Nah I cry too much."
The title of their new single, "Cowboys Cry Too," seems to delve into the emotional and vulnerable side of the typically stoic, macho characters of the Wild West.
This collaboration comes after Ballerini and Kahan's memorable medley performance of Kelsea's "Mountain With a View" and Noah's "Stick Season" at the 2024 ACM Awards.
Since that performance, fans have eagerly awaited an original duet from the pair, and now their wishes are coming true.
With both artists known for their deeply personal and evocative songwriting, their combined talents are expected to produce a captivating single.
Kelsea Ballerini revealed that "Cowboys Cry Too" is the first taste of new music from her upcoming album, which has yet to be titled or given a release date.
The "Penthouse" singer expressed her pride and excitement about releasing this new song, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her music career.
This will be Ballerini's first original solo release since the deluxe version of her acclaimed Rolling Up The Welcome Mat album in August 2023, excluding her popular revamped version of "Love Me Like You Mean It" in April 2024. "Cowboys Cry Too" has been eagerly anticipated, and fans are sure it will be worth the wait.
