Kelsea Ballerini celebrated her new album Patterns with a special Spotify event titled “Baggage Claim” last Thursday (Oct. 24) at New York City’s Carlyle Hotel.
At the event, Ballerini invited some of her top Spotify listeners from the area to enjoy an exclusive first listen before the album’s release.
She also joined them for a Q&A session and performed her previously-released track, “Two Things.”
“This is probably the most love-filled record I’ve ever made,” Ballerini shared about Patterns. “Love is really at the heart of every song on this album."
She added, “It’s got a little of everything. There’s a song for friendship, for falling in love, and even a few ‘I’m frustrated enough to put my head through a wall’ moments.”
Reflecting on the album’s creation, she said, “I felt a lot of pressure making this record. I’m so grateful for new listeners but also wanted to honor those who’ve been with me since ‘Love Me Like You Mean It.’”
Fans were immediately drawn to the song “How Much Do You Love Me,” and Ballerini shared a behind-the-scenes moment.
“It’s the softest song on the album. I remember writing it on guitar, and Chase [Stokes] asked, ‘What’s that?’ I told him, ‘This is a love song.’”
