Karley Scott Collins made her Grand Ole Opry debut last Wednesday (June 26), stepping into the iconic circle and making her family proud.
“I’m from a small town in Florida called Lake City, and it’s probably half empty back home tonight because my entire family is here,” Collins joked from the stage.
Performing songs from her recently released EP, Write One, she began with “Heavy Metal” before welcoming Opry member Charles Kelley of Lady A for their duet “How Do You Do That.”
This significant career milestone follows a whirlwind few months for Collins. She has toured with Willie Nelson and Dwight Yoakam and released her new EP featuring collaborations with Kelley and Keith Urban, who personally invited her to make her Opry debut.
Collins is also set to open for Joan Jett & the Blackhearts at the Ryman Auditorium and support Nate Smith and Corey Kent on their respective fall tours.
Karley has featured on Clewes' Country numerous times and we would like to express our biggest congratulations on a debut at the Grand Ole Opry.
