Kane Brown's concert at Fenway Park in Boston faced an unexpected disruption on Saturday night (July 20) due to a small fire.
According to local news station WHDH, a fire ignited in a section of the stage scaffolding, prompting Brown to pause his performance for about 10 minutes while crews extinguished the flames.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
"They announced it immediately. We knew approximately how long we were going to have to wait. Then when Kane Brown came back out, he apologised," said concertgoer Kerri Besse to WHDH.
Despite the quick resolution, the fire led to some adjustments in Brown's setlist. According to Country Now, he had to cut two songs from his planned performance due to the delay.
Even with the interruption, Brown's Fenway Park show marked a significant achievement, as he sold out the venue during this stop on his 2024 In the Air Tour.
After the concert, Brown expressed his gratitude and joy on social media, sharing a photo of himself smiling at the ballpark.
"I have my ups and downs and recently I'm just genuinely happy," Brown wrote. "I love everybody for coming out tonight in Boston and showing out!"
He also extended thanks to his opening acts for the evening, including LoCash, RaeLynn, and Jon Pardi.
