Parker McCollum surprised on stage with ACM Award

During the events leading up to the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday, May 16 at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, the winners of the ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year categories were unveiled.



Parker McCollum, no stranger to ACM recognition, earned his second ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year with the music video for "Burn It Down."


His previous win as ACM New Male Artist of the Year in 2022 further underscores his rising prominence in country music. McCollum, who is also a nominee for ACM Single of the Year, will be delivering a performance during the awards show.


During the ACM Lifting Lives LIVE fundraiser concert, Parker McCollum received a surprise onstage visit from Old Dominion, where he was presented with the ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year, delighting thousands of fans in attendance.


Chris Stapleton, already a prominent figure in the country music scene, clinched his 17th ACM Award as he was crowned the winner of ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Year.


This honour adds to his impressive list of accolades, which includes the coveted Triple Crown prize. Stapleton, who is nominated in four additional categories, is also set to grace the stage with a live performance.


Jessie Jo Dillon, an esteemed songwriter, secured her first ACM Award for Songwriter of the Year. Her past nominations and notable works, including hits like "10,000 Hours" and "Break Up In The End," have solidified her reputation as a formidable talent in the industry.


As ACM Awards Week draws to a close, anticipation builds for the main event on Thursday. Hosted by the legendary Reba McEntire, the star-studded lineup promises captivating performances from top artists such as Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, and more.


Additionally, special duets featuring Kelsea Ballerini, Blake Shelton, and others will add to the excitement of the evening.


Streaming exclusively on Prime Video and Amazon Music channel on Twitch, the ACM Awards will be accessible to a global audience without the need for a Prime membership, ensuring that everyone can join in the celebration of country music's biggest night.
