Nate Smith's hit single "Bulletproof" has claimed the No. 1 spot on country radio for the second week in a row.
Written by Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson, and Hunter Phelps, this track marks Smith's third consecutive multi-week No. 1 on the Mediabase chart.
This achievement makes him the first artist in R&R/Mediabase history to kick off their career with three back-to-back multi-week No. 1 hits.
"Bulletproof" follows the success of Smith's record-breaking single "World On Fire," which dominated Billboard's Country Airplay chart for 10 consecutive weeks and held the top spot on the Mediabase chart for three weeks.
His debut No. 1 single, "Whiskey On You," also spent two weeks at the top of the Mediabase chart and one week atop Billboard's Country Airplay chart. Altogether, his first three singles have spent a combined 14 weeks at No. 1 across the two charts.
"When I write and record music, it's always been about creating something I would love to listen to," Smith shared. "The fact that three of my songs have reached No. 1 is a massive honor.
"Radio has given me a real shot, and I’m incredibly grateful for the lifelong friendships I’ve built and continue to foster with them."
He added, "There are so many new artists out there, so this truly feels like a miracle. No. 1s allow me to take better care of my team and my family.
I never thought this would be possible for me, but here we are. I thank God for pulling me out of the wreckage and allowing me to bring hopeful songs to people's hearts.
It just goes to show—it's never too late to follow your dreams, especially when it aligns with His will."
As the reigning ACM New Male Artist of the Year, Smith will continue to share his chart-topping hits with fans on his "Through The Smoke Tour," set to kick off next month.
