Big Machine Records is proud to welcome Something Out West to its esteemed artist roster. The dynamic duo—comprised of Drew Arthur and Chet Hanks—joins an impressive lineup that includes Tim McGraw, Carly Pearce, Midland, Rascal Flatts, Jackson Dean, and more.

Something Out West was born in California, where Drew and Chet first became roommates at a pivotal moment in their lives—both embarking on a journey toward sobriety.

This shared experience forged not only a deep friendship but also sparked a powerful creative partnership, leading to late-night jam sessions, songwriting breakthroughs, and an eventual move to Nashville.

The duo's sound has been shaped by their personal journeys and their love for Nashville’s rich musical heritage.

Combining distinctive vocals, memorable melodies, and raw storytelling, Something Out West pays homage to country music’s roots while bringing a fresh, contemporary twist.

Debut Single "Leaving Hollywood" Out February 28

Marking their first official release under Big Machine Records, "Leaving Hollywood" drops this Friday, February 28.

The duo is currently in the studio with GRAMMY-winning producer Julian Raymond, crafting their debut project, set to arrive in 2025.

"We couldn’t ask for a better partner than Big Machine and Scott Borchetta," says Chet.

"Their support for ‘Leaving Hollywood’ and everything we’ve been working on has been incredible. Drew and I have been making music together for years, and this feels like the perfect home for our sound."

Drew adds, “I wrote ‘Leaving Hollywood’ five years ago, but the timing and the way it’s coming together now feels like it was always meant to be. We can’t wait for people to hear what we’ve been creating.”
