American Currents: State of the Music" Exhibit Opens at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum officially unveiled its 2025 edition of “American Currents: State of the Music” last night (March 4) with a special celebration.

Presented annually, the exhibit offers a comprehensive look at the past year in country music, showcasing major musical milestones, artist achievements, and cultural shifts as selected by the museum’s curators and editorial staff.

This year’s exhibit features a diverse range of artists, including Jessi Alexander, Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, HARDY, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Amythyst Kiah, Carín León, Shelby Lynne, Megan Moroney, Orville Peck, Post Malone, The Red Clay Strays, Shaboozey, Chris Stapleton, Billy Strings, Taylor Swift, Turnpike Troubadours, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson.

A key component of the exhibit, “Unbroken Circle,” highlights musical connections between artists who have influenced or share creative perspectives.

This year’s pairings include:

🎵 Zach Top and Keith Whitley

🎵 Kaitlin Butts and Miranda Lambert

In addition to spotlighting artist collaborations, the exhibit also explores defining moments from 2024, including Beyoncé’s groundbreaking release of Cowboy Carter and the year’s top-charting albums, singles, and highest-grossing tours.

Visitors can experience a video compilation of significant performances and events, featuring artists such as Zach Bryan, Chappell Roan, Dasha, Sierra Ferrell, Rosie Flores, Wyatt Flores, and Sturgill Simpson, along with special tributes to Country Music Hall of Fame members Joe Bonsall, Toby Keith, and Kris Kristofferson. An interactive touchscreen display highlights key moments from major awards shows.

“American Currents: State of the Music” is now open in the museum’s ACM Gallery and will run through January 2026.
