Sony Music Nashville surprised Luke Combs with five new plaques recognizing historic achievements during his fifth-anniversary appearance at the Grand Ole Opry last night (Aug. 13).
The honors included two Diamond certifications for "When It Rains It Pours" and "Hurricane," making Combs the first artist to earn three RIAA Diamond-certified country singles.
These hits join the ranks of his previously Diamond-certified track "Beautiful Crazy." "When It Rains It Pours" and "Hurricane" are now among only 11 country singles ever to achieve Diamond status.
Combs also celebrated the Platinum certification of his 2022 album, Gettin’ Old, as well as the five-time Platinum certification of his 2019 project, What You See Is What You Get, and his Grammy-nominated cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car."
