Big Machine Records has officially signed GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd, adding the acclaimed artist to a star-studded roster that includes Tim McGraw, Carly Pearce, Midland, Rascal Flatts, Jackson Dean, and more.
"Ryan has long been part of the Big Machine family through his significant contributions as a songwriter with Big Machine Music," said Big Machine Label Group Chairman & CEO Scott Borchetta.
"It’s a true honour to now welcome him to the Big Machine Records artist roster."
Hurd has amassed over one billion career streams and earned multiple award nominations, including two GRAMMY® nods, along with CMA, ACM, and CMT Music Awards nominations.
His debut album Pelago reached the top five of Spotify’s most-streamed country albums and was praised by critics.
As a songwriter signed to Big Machine Music, Hurd has penned PLATINUM-certified No. 1 hits for Blake Shelton, Jordan Davis, Luke Bryan, Lady A, and Diplo/Morgan Wallen, among others.
Kris Lamb, EVP/General Manager of Big Machine Records, expressed excitement about the signing: "I've been a fan of Ryan’s music for over a decade, and I’m thrilled to represent his artistry.
"This is more than just a milestone—it’s a full-circle moment."
Hurd’s first release with Big Machine Records, a new song titled "This Party Sucks," will drop on Friday, October 25.
This follows his independently-released tracks "Midwest Rock & Roll" and "Go To Bed Sober" from earlier this year. A full-length album is expected in 2025.
“I’m thrilled to start this new chapter with Big Machine,” Hurd shared. "Having worked with the publishing team and seeing how they’ve handled my songs makes me even more excited about this partnership.
"I want to thank Scott, Allison, Kris, Mike, Alex, and the entire team for believing in this project."
