Lainey Wilson and longtime boyfriend Devlin “Duck” Hodges are officially engaged!
On February 12, the couple shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a series of heartwarming photos with Wilson proudly showing off her stunning engagement ring.
The caption, “4x4xU forever,” is a sweet tribute to their relationship and Wilson’s current Billboard Country Airplay hit, 4x4xU.
One of the snapshots captures the romantic proposal moment—Wilson, visibly surprised and emotional, stands on a candlelit front porch adorned with roses and framed photos of the couple, while Hodges beams with joy.
Another shows them sharing a kiss, while the final clip features Wilson, clad in a deep red coat, flashing her engagement ring with a glowing smile.
Wilson and Hodges have been together since 2021 and made their red carpet debut at the 2023 ACM Awards. Hodges, a former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, has inspired several of Wilson’s love songs, including 4x4xU and Counting Chickens from her latest album, Whirlwind.
In a 2023 interview with Billboard, Wilson praised Hodges for his unwavering support, saying:"Thankfully, I have found a man that is so happy that he’s with a lady that can do her own thing. He’s just my cheerleader. He makes it real easy, and it’s fun to be able to share this part of my life..."
Wilson had playfully hinted at a proposal for some time, even joking in a CMT interview with Bunnie XO, “No pressure, brother! No pressure. I might have to propose to him. We waiting!”
As for Wilson’s career, she’s been unstoppable. In 2023, she earned both CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year titles and took home a Grammy for Best Country Album (Bell Bottom Country).
She spent last year headlining her Country’s Cool Again Tour and is now gearing up for her Whirlwind Tour, which kicks off in March and runs through November.
