'Chiefs' Nashville bar takes funny swipe at Morgan Wallen

Once again, Chief's, Eric Church's lively bar and honky tonk nestled in downtown Nashville, is playfully revisiting the now-famous Morgan Wallen chair-throwing debacle that unfolded on the bar's rooftop.

For those who might have missed the buzz, country sensation Morgan Wallen made headlines after his arrest at Chief's on April 7, facing three felony counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct for allegedly tossing a chair from the rooftop.

Now, adorning the rooftop is a fresh plaque, discreetly unveiled on a Friday morning (May 3), coinciding with Wallen's initial court appearance concerning the incident. As early patrons trickled into the bar, they were greeted by this tongue-in-cheek addition.

Resembling the dedication plaques often found on park benches, the new addition humorously declares, "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, YOU ARE NOT MORGAN WALLEN."

This witty nod to the incident isn't Chief's first playful jab. In the aftermath of the uproar, the honky tonk's marquee sported the quip, "Our pigs fly, our chairs don't."

Wallen's legal proceedings commenced with a hearing on Friday (May 3), albeit without his presence, leading to a relatively uneventful session. The next hearing is scheduled for August, with Wallen's legal team confirming his attendance for the summer court date.
