Tiësto broadens his musical horizons with his latest single "Hot Honey," a collaboration with rising star Alana Springsteen.
The video for this country-infused dance track, premiering exclusively on Variety, showcases the Dutch DJ and singer-songwriter playing with fire.
Springsteen sings about being trapped in an inescapable relationship, lying on a bed suspended above a circle of flames, with rain eventually leaving the ground smoldering.
“I’ve always been drawn to the fun and authenticity of country music, so when I had the chance to team up with Alana Springsteen to create a country dance song, I was super excited!”
Tiësto shared in a statement. “Alana has an incredible voice, which is exactly the texture this song needed. I respect her songwriting and artistry.
"This is a different sound for me, but as you know, I love exploring and being inspired by various genres when making dance music! I hope you enjoy this song as much as we did creating it.”
Springsteen was equally thrilled about the collaboration. “How often do you get the chance to work with one of the most iconic DJs of all time?” she said.
“When Tiësto reached out to collaborate on ‘Hot Honey,’ I saw it as an exciting opportunity. I’ve always loved exploring different sounds, and being able to do that with dance music while staying true to my country roots is what excites me as an artist and songwriter.
"I’m honored that Tiësto trusted me with this song, and I can’t wait to perform it live at one of his amazing shows!”
“Hot Honey” drops ahead of Tiësto’s Prismatic performances this fall. He plans to stage two four-hour DJ sets — one at Queens, NY’s Forest Hills Stadium on Oct. 25 and another at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Nov. 15 — offering a "sonic journey through the eras of his career."
Besides these shows, Tiësto remains busy with festival appearances and Las Vegas residencies throughout the year.
Meanwhile, Springsteen is touring the country, with dates culminating in a homecoming show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Nov. 21.
She recently released her debut album “Twenty Something” in August 2023, followed by a deluxe edition in October.
